What do people say about Vicky?
I collect feedback in a variety of ways including email, facebook reviews and I also send a satisfaction survey to everyone I work with. This allows me to review the services I provide allowing me to know what people like and what I need to change.
You can also send feedback about my service to the CQC to help them review my services when I am inspected.

Vicky was recommended to me and I was so happy she was. My little girl had lost 10% of her weigh and it was thought it was down to tongue tie. Vicky was professional, kind, informative and put me at ease when corresponding. She got my booked in very quickly and when she turned up she had a very warm and comfortable energy which helped me relax. She did an assessment and the advice she gave me was brilliant. My daughter didn’t need the procedure but the support I got before, during and after was invaluable. I would recommend Vicky to anyone who is struggling with feeding.

Survey Feedback, December 2023
I felt so supported by Vicky, and having the tongue tie division was a decision I felt Vicky guided me through and wasn’t a quick fix solution. We worked together on all aspects of feeding and didn’t jump to that being the catch all solution. When I first saw Vicky I was really struggling to breastfeed at all, and we are now comfortably combi feeding with zero pain. I felt like Vicky genuinely cared about my breastfeeding journey and was there for me emotionally throughout the past few weeks.

With Vicky’s help we were able to have our son’s tongue tie divided quickly and easily in the comfort of our own home and have been able to continue our breastfeeding journey, which wouldn’t have been possible if we had waited 6+ weeks for an NHS appointment. Vicky was comforting and professional and it was as stress free as possible. I would 100% recommend her if you are concerned about your babies feeding.
Thank you Vicky

Huge thanks to Vicky. In such a trying time I was I desperate need of support. I really appreciated Vicky checking in to see how things were going with my baby and I. She is a real people person and I genuinely felt like she had just as much investment in making breastfeeding work, it is so rare to find someone who takes your problem as seriously as you do yourself. I can’t quite fully breastfeed yet but we’ve come such a long way from not being able to latch AT ALL. Very grateful for Vicky and all her support. If you are unsure whether or not you baby may have a mechanical issue, call Vicky, I strongly recommend that you do..

We first contacted Vicky when my son was almost 3 months old. She came and cut his tongue tie then she continued to support me through a long hard road to increase my milk supply until I was able to exclusively breastfeed. With our second and third child she was the first port of call for us to get an assessment. Vicky always takes the time to check in, listens to any challenges, offers suggestions and support that increased my confidence no matter what difficulty I was facing. When you speak to her she instantly puts you at ease and it feels as if you are talking to an old friend. She has always worked with me until all my issues were resolved. I couldn't thank her enough as her support and praise are the reason I have been able to exclusively breastfeed all 3 of my children no matter the challenge. And I have had 2 tongue ties, mastitis, infections and many other smaller issues along the way. She is like the magic secret to successfully breastfeeding.

Having had difficulty breast feeding my son due to tounge tie I was on the verge of giving up. This was because of the lack of support. I turned to Vicky who have me confidence to continue breast feeding and gave me lots of tips and advice on breast feeding. Vicky is very professional and doesn’t put pressure on you regarding a division of your baby has tounge tie instead she gives advice on ways to work around it like different positions to feed baby which has made a huge difference. I highly recommend Vicky. I had no help from the elsewhere and was given to much conflicting advice. Everything Vicky said makes complete sense.

Leisha, September 2019

Vicky made a great difference in my breastfeeding journey. I cannot thank her enough for the advice and tips she gave me. My daughter was detected with a tongue tie at birth, and we seeked help from various sources to improve breastfeeding. She used to bite me while feeding, and it used to be very painful process. We reached out to Vicky, who did a proper assessment of the situation, and suggested not to go ahead with the procedure to fix tongue tie. She gave lot of tips on improving the latch and encouraged me to continue trying different tips. It worked wonders and the latching improved from the next day itself, and contin ued to improve over the weeks.
Even without the tongue tie fix, the problem was solved, all thanks to experience and expertise of Vicky. I am extremely grateful and recommend her highly for any lactation concerns.

Having had a baby before with a tongue tie I knew what to expect of the procedure but it doesn't make it any less daunting. I found Vicky very professional but friendly and warm and the fact that she spent a considerable amount of time getting a history and talking to me made me feel much more relaxed. The whole procedure was much calmer than my experience with my son and my daughter is now feeding really well and much happier.

Without Vicky I would not have been able to feed my baby for as long as I did, I was all but ready to give up. It wasn't just the tongue tie division but the breast feeding support and advice that gave me the confidence and motivation to keep going and signposted me to local services that helped too

I knew there was something that wasn't right with breastfeeding but everyone kept telling me my son looked like he was feeding beautifully, it wasn't until someone suggested tongue tie that we started looking into it and contacted Vicky. The support she gave us was second to none - provided us with lots of information on tongue tie, signposted us to local service who could help to diagnose and offered lots of breast feeding information and advice to help with positioning in the meantime. When she came to assess (and performed a tongue tie division) we felt comfortable, fully informed and her friendly yet professional manner really put us at ease. Her breast feeding support was also fantastic and gave me the confidence to carry on trying to feed and getting it right. I was so disheartened when breastfeeding was so difficult and so painful and was very close to stopping. I'm certain without Vicky's support and services I probably would have done. Fantastic service.

Vicky has given us amazing support from start to finish and really helped to put us at ease when we very nervous about the procedure. Vicky revised our son's tongue tie and I was amazed at how quick it was and how quickly my son got over it! Vicky is gentle and kind and genuinely cares about the babies (and parents!!) she is working with!
We couldn't be more impressed with the level of care we have received and are so glad we chose Vicky to help us. I've also benefitted from Vicky's extensive knowledge in other areas of breastfeeding and she has taken time to send me links and info to further support my breastfeeding journey.

Vicky is fab and I felt like she was really tailoring to my needs and took a genuine interest. So many people give one sided advice but felt Vicky gave facts and shared research eg co sleeping is actually safe if EBF. It was great to get the after care support too. Highly recommend

I was extremely happy with the service. Vicky was very friendly and approachable and the process was quick. I had been worried for so long about my baby son having his tongue snipped and the fact Vicky came to my home to do it made the whole process much less distressing for my son. A very professional yet personal service, and now my son is thriving sticking his tongue out at everyone!!

I warmed to Vicky as soon as I met her. My son had tongue tie and I was very nervous about the snipe, she really put me at ease and made the whole process comfortable.

"Vicky has made such a difference to our family. Giving encouragement and practical help with our breastfeeding journey, over time as it was needed! It's clear how much she cares, as well as being excellent in her
service too!"

I struggled to breastfeed my daughter from the start. I sought help from numerous people (health visitors, doctors, midwives etc) but nothing was solving the problem. I was treated for thrush but there was no improvement and I was even advised by one doctor that breastfeeding pain is normal. I knew something was wrong and through my own research I finally suspected a tongue tie. I found Vicky online and things changed from there. Vicky ' s response was quick and within a week she had arranged to come and visit. It was such a relief to finally speak to someone who had the time to listen to my full story and history of feeding. Vicky was patient and took time to unpick all the problems I had. She gave a great deal of information about the procedure and answered all questions fully. After deciding to go ahead with the procedure, Vicky remained professional and calm, despite the fact that both me and my daughter were crying! Vicky was so understanding and sat with me until we had calmed down. The ongoing support she provided after was a lifeline as things did not improve instantly and she talked me calmly through numerous stresses, concerns and doubts I had. I am pleased to say I have now been feeding my daughter pain free for a couple of months and it feels wonderful! I would have no hesitation in recommending Vicky to others, she has seen me through one of the hardest, most emotional things I have ever had to do.

"We had our baby's TT cut when he was 5 days old. Having had bleeding blistering nipples and having had him uncomfortable and exceptionally gassy. After it was snipped the difference was noticeable immediately from his improved latch. Because his latch was so much better he swallowed practically no air and was no longer gassy and was much happier nursing. He's now 8 weeks nursing happily and if he's anything like his big bro will still be going strong for at least another 2 years"

"Our little one was born on the 6th of November 2014 with a tongue tie. During my pregnancy I wasn't sure about breastfeeding, but once I had started, it became very clear that I didn't want to give it up, cause it felt right, but also that clearly there was a problem and something was not right.

After being dismissed by several midwives, my regular midwife on my day 5 visit agreed with me; little man was very tongue tied and it was causing serious feeding issues... So we went to a local breastfeeding help group where we were officially assessed and put forward for a snip. However, it would take 10 days before we could be seen by the NHS and we were sure we wouldn't be able to hold on that long, so we went private.

Vicky came the next day, struck a very good balance between being professional and caring and did a fantastic job.

Instantly our little one's feeding improved, within 6 days we didn't have to use top ups anymore and two weeks after being snipped, he started to latch himself on and his pallet had started to change shape as well, becoming smoother and less arched.

The difference has not only been amazing, it came about very quickly as well.

We cannot thank Vicky enough for her intervention; the result is that I am still breastfeeding, despite a very difficult start and will continue to do so for a long time.

Thank you again, Vicky!"

From the moment I spoke to Vicky on the phone I felt completely relieved that someone was finally listening to me. Our daughter was 8 weeks old when Vicky came to assess her for tongue tie. Our daughter is bottle fed and although was gaining weight she had reflux and was on infant gaviscon since she was 3 weeks old. She had tongue tie and her feeding was a nightmare. A messy one at that. She would feed hourly and if we were lucky every 2 hours. The only reason she was gaining weight was due to us changing bottle brand and teet sizes to a bigger one and having to feed her what felt like all the time. Vicky came to our home and assessed our daughter and she was very professional throughout. She could answer all of our questions and was very informative. Since our daughter had her tongue tie division done she is a completely different baby when feeding. It is not a quick fix and it has taken a number of weeks to get to this point. However she is no longer on infant gaviscon and has no reflux symptoms, which I believe is because she now latches correctly on a bottle. she is on comfort formula which may also assist this. But she is not squirming around after a feed because she is full of wind. Before having her tongue tie snipped she would constantly come off of the bottle, leak milk out the side of her mouth and fill herself up with wind. The only reason she comes off the bottle now is because she's smiling at us or she's finished what milk there was! If you aren't sure whether your baby has tongue tie or they aren't feeding properly. Vicky will be the best person you will speak to. I no longer dread feeding my daughter and she is a much more contented baby who can now completely stick her tongue out and feed correctly. I am still waiting for my nhs referal for my daughters tongue tie!! Paying privately and using Vicky's services was the best decision we ever made. Thank you once again

Following our son's tongue tie being pointed out in hospital and difficulty with breastfeeding once home, I called on Vicky's expertise. She provided advice and support over the phone, provided information by message and gave me a prompt appointment. She visited us at home and was very professional, knowledgable, personable and filled us with confidence. She fully assessed our son's tongue tie and provided help and support with breastfeeding. We did not have the tongue tie divided as we all agreed it was worth seeing if feeding improved following the breastfeeding help and Vicky's recommendation to consult an osteopath. Due to her help, our son's feeding and general well-being have improved dramatically. She has continued to provide help and support and I would not hesitate to ask for further assistance. I would highly recommend Vicky's service to others.

I contacted Vicky on the recommendation of other like minded mums because I was struggling to breast feed my pre term baby and had been told she appeared to have a posterior tongue tie. Vicky's visit was both friendly and professional and she gave us all the information we needed to make an informed decision. We chose not to have the tie divided and continue combination feeding. The post consultation support was fantastic and thanks to Vicky's encouragement I managed to breast feed my baby for 9 weeks, which is far longer than I could imagine pre Vicky. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her

From birth my son had problems latching onto my breast. In the hospital we were offered lots of advice on positioning, but no one suggested the possibility of a tongue tie. I left the hospital frustrated and not able to breastfeed. I expressed and bottle fed for 6 weeks, offering formula too ups occasionally and continued offering the breast every day. At 6 weeks old my son started routing more for the breast so I decided to take him to Wayfield Breastfeeding clinic to ask for help. They suggested a posterior tongue tie and gave me the option of a referral to Kings and the contact for Vicky. This was the Monday and my sons tongue tie was assessed and divided on the Saturday. It was all conducted in a calm atmosphere, at home, with my husband and I present. Within four days of the division his feeding improved and within two weeks we were exclusively breastfeeding without the need for expressing, using bottles or formula top ups. We are now in our forth month of exclusive breastfeeding, with no sign of stopping. I love breastfeeding and am so pleased that we both learnt the skill, even 6 weeks after birth!

I cannot thank vicky enough she came to assess my little man after being told by health professional's unless i was breastfeeding they wouldn't do anything which i think is totally wrong i found vicky on the internet and with her quick response she made an appointment and came to my house to do assessment and found he was extremely tongue tied and that he could barely move his tongue around so he was hardly taken much milk on feeds so was feeding more frequently and was very unsettled along with his other health issues.as soon as he had the diversion op his whole body relaxed like a weight had been lifted and for it i cannot rate and recommend vicky enough prices are great too although money was never an option for me it was all about my little man and making him feel better vicky is an outstanding lady a very professional if anybody's thinking about getting this op done go for it as i cannot rate this enough
thanks again so much vicky :-) im so grateful

I just want to say thank you. Not only did Vicky respond quickly to my cry for help, it was also over the festive period where very little support was available. Prior to the division, I was in so much pain and was really stressed. Vicky went over and beyond what I expected; she followed up my progress after the division and offered support thereafter throughout. She supported my decision to mix feed without judgement. I am still breastfeeding, expressing regularly as I have gone back to work. Breastfeeding is no longer painful and is a special moment for me and baby. Baby is putting on weight, is happy, and so is the rest of the family. I wouldn't have wanted to share this journey with anyone else!

Having been turned away by Health visitors who simply dismissed my concerns about breastfeeding as my baby was gaining weight despite my concerns that he couldn't latch on properly, I searched for a private practitioner.
I felt relieved when Vicky called me back that evening and instantly felt that someone was listening to me at last and that I wasn't just imagining problems.
Vicky came within a week to do a first feeding assessment on my son.
We modified feeding positions, and discussed various other techniques. Upon examination Vicky found that my son did indeed have a tongue tie and have me all the pros and cons of having it snipped. She discussed all the risks and gave me all the statistics. She explained the procedure in great detail and we discussed aftercare.
I didn't feel pressured into making a decision but I opted to have the procedure done.
Vicky prepared everything and all equipment was single-use and sterile. Being in a familiar environment I helped my son and I relax.
The procedure in itself was very quick and after a tiny bit of crying he was feeding within a few minutes.
I did the exercises that Vicky gave us but unfortunately there was still some restrictions a few weeks later.
Vicky came back and performed a second procedure after having assessed the tongue tie again and given me more feeding support.
Vicky called me several times to find out how I was getting on.
A few weeks later I called Vicky as I was convinced that the tongue tie had grown back as I was in a lot of pain.
As soon as my son saw Vicky for the third time he stuck his tongue out for the very first time.
Vicky then stayed for another hour watching me feed a tweaking the positioning with my son stopping every few minutes to poke his tongue out at her.
Feeding is now almost pain-free (he has a high-palate) and it is certainly worlds-apart from what I experienced at the beginning.
Some people may say that the cost is too high but it is around the same as every other private practitioner charges and I would honestly say that the support I have received is invaluable.
At not one point was I made to feel inadequate or useless like I was feeling prior to talking to Vicky.
I would definitely recommend Vicky's services to anybody who has any concerns about breastfeeding.

Cathy, Bexley

Vicky came to see me after I had been recommended her services by a lady in my postnatal group. Unlike most of Vicky's client my son was bottle fed but seemed to be having issues and no one would help as I wasn't breastfeeding. Vicky came 2 days later and after an assessment showed me just how much my son's tongue tie was affecting him. He was struggling to open his mouth fully as it was so tight at the front of his mouth and she agreed to perform the procedure. My little one is 4 months old so being swaddled did not go down too well but Vicky was both professional and caring throughout. She made everything easy to understand, made me and little one feel at ease and is extremely good at her job. Vicky has given my little boy a new lease of life (all be it a louder one now he can open his mouth more!). He is loving being able to more the front end of his tongue now and his feeds are so much easier. Thank you so much for being there when we needed you Vicky!

"Our little Ted was born on 30th October 2014 weighing 8.15.
He is one of four boisterous, crazy, fun loving little boys, whom I breast fed until the 18 month mark, so when I was struggling to feed Teddy, I knew something was wrong but couldnt work out what. When he was ten days old, he had lost a lot more than ten per cent of his birth weight and had not reached back up to his birth weight. It wasnt until my health visitor asked if he made clicking sounds whilst feeding that we found out that he had posterior tongue- tie. Initially I was in two minds about having teds tongue clipped, but vicky was so lovely that I knew ted was in the right hands, within 6 days of making contact it was all over and ted is now feeding beautifully and my confidence in feeding ted has fully returned, hes also piling on the weight :-) I cant reccomend vicky enough, thankyou vicky, so much. May the feeding journey continue for a long time yet xxxx"

Mia is our 3rd child, after 17 weeks of exceptionally difficult feeding (refusing, unsettled, very very long feeds, gastric issues) numerous GP visits, numerous milks from the GP, we were at out wits end and no further forward. I knew something was wrong but just couldn't work out what it was and was getting very little support other than offering medication and prescription milks, then someone recommend getting in touch with Vicky.

Vicky came out to assess Mia within 48 hours of me contacting her and immediately picked up that Mia had a severe posterior tongue tie, Vicky divided Mia's tie there and then and the difference was immediately phenomenal. She now feeds brilliantly, and the difference was immediately noticeable. I cannot put into words the difference that Vicky has made to our family and most importantly Mia. I would never have described Mia as an unsettled or unhappy baby, other than when you tried to feed her!!!, However she is definitely a much smilier baby now. I could not recommend Vicky enough, was absolutely the best money we have spent.

I called Vicky one Sunday afternoon after being in agony as a result trying to breastfeed. My son was a week old and I was at my wits end. Vicky was sympathetic, supportive, understanding and reassuring about my situation. She acted immediately (despite it being a Sunday afternoon) and visited the next day to carry out my son's tongue tie division and to offer support with breastfeeding. After an initial improvement with the pain of feeding I experienced a few more difficulties and Vicky was there to provide advice and support at all times. After 7 weeks (6 weeks after seeing Vicky) I am enjoying breastfeeding my son and am pretty much pain free! Thank you Vicky for all your support over the last 6 weeks!

Vicky was friendly and professional. Her assessment was comprehensive and she was able to address our concerns. The division was a quick procedure and has allowed us to continue with breastfeeding. Before the division the pain was so intense but immediately after the division feeding became pain free. It has made a huge difference and I'd highly recommend anyone to seek Vicky's help. She has offered plenty of support afterwards but thankfully everything has been fine. We are very grateful for her help.

I contacted Vicky for a tongue tie assessment for my daughter, my second born. I'd been unable to breastfeed my son, and while I was breastfeeding my daughter, it was incredibly painful and I couldn't bear the thought of waiting for an NHS tongue tie referral. Vicky spent a good few hours with me, and while she did not think a division was necessary, gave me loads of practical advice for how to improve our experience without that. She also listened and gave me space to express the toll this was taking emotionally - desperately wanting to breastfeed but dreading each feed due to the pain. I felt a lot of guilt and worry, but she calmly listened and reassured me that I was doing well, that I had options available, and that I was not failing in any way. It made a huge difference to our feeding experience. Vicky provided fantastic follow-up as well - an email summarising her visit and the things she'd suggested, as well as making herself available for phone calls if I needed to ask further questions or seek any advice. I thoroughly recommend her services!

Vicky visited us 2 weeks after the arrival of my daughter. I was really wanting to breastfeed as she is our last child and I couldn't with our first. We were having lots of issues including sore nipples, bleeding, windy fussy baby, no weight gain etc. One of the visiting midwives suspected a possible tongue tie so I went to my G.P who wasn't really helpful, I decided I didn't really want to keep going back and was nearly giving up! baby really wasn't happy and I was very stressed. Vicky came over and assessed her and we had the procedure, 1 week down the road she is feeding much better, my boobs are not bleeding and baby is gaining weight. The support I've had from Vicky following the procedure has been outstanding! I couldn't have done it without her.

Claire, Rainham

As a Breastfeeding Counsellor myself I had identified my son's tongue tie as soon as he was born, but was quietly confident that I "knew enough" to get through the initial problems and get a latch that was comfortable. My first son's TT had not caused us any problems feeding so I saw no reason why this time round would be any different.

Alas I was to be proved wrong, after many days of persevering through intense pain and ending up with heavy damage to my nipples I decided to ask Vicky to come and take a look.

She was so warm and understanding and made me feel completely at ease as she spoke to me and my husband about our thoughts processes. After deciding there and then to have the tongue tie divided she was compassionate and caring as she got everything ready, sensing my nervousness and doing everything she could to put my mind at ease.

The procedure was very quick and she sat with us afterwards while we all settled back down again.

Her after care was brilliant, checking on us to see how we were doing and offering more visits if we needed them.

10 months on and I must say honestly that our breastfeeding journey still has its up and downs but one thing is for sure, there would have been many more issues had Vicky not been around.

Thanks Vicky, you do wonderful work :-)

Vicki, Twydall
